I’ve been an absolute wreck since the news was released that Cory passed last night. I’ve admired him for so long - even before Lea and Darren (and those who know me’ll understand the significance of that). The world was NOT ready to lose you, Cory. I feel like I’ve lost a member of my own family, which is because I have. We all have. Cory taught me right from the beginning to embrace my faults, my past, myself. He taught me that it was okay to not be perfect and that /that’s/ what made us all amazing and unique. That no matter what you go through or where you come from, you can always turn your life around - it’s never too late to be happy. I always thought because he spent a lot of his time in Vancouver that I’d get to meet him one day - and now I’ll never get that chance. I’ll never get to thank him. So, thank you Cory. Thank you for being a huge part of making me who I am today. Thank you for saving me all those times throughout the past 5 years. The people who knew you and admired you know what a loss this is, and it won’t be one we’ll get over easily. I know you’re up there somewhere, drumming, laughing, attempting to dance, cheering for the Canucks and looking over Lea, your family, friends and your castmates. We love you. We miss you. Rest In Peace, honey. ♡
